The most important farming area for hazel nut (Coryllus avellana) is in Turkey, where it is grown in a 50 km wide zone by the Black Sea. Hazel blooms in January-February, rests for the coldest period and continues to grow again in April. Harvest time is in September-October. For baking and to be eaten as they are.
